He has overseen growth from the first transaction, and was appointed CEO in January 2010. He has also joined the founding brothers as a full equity partner in the business and has invested his own capital. Mike has over 4 years experience working with businesses and social enterprises in Ghana, The Gambia, and Zambia. He also holds an MBA with Distinction from Oxford University, where he was a Skoll Scholar for Social Entrepreneurship, along with an MSc in Management Development from the London School of Economics.  | Brad Magrath, Founder and Chief Commercial Officer:Brad is a passionate entrepreneur who has established, grown, and transitioned out of profitable businesses in Zambia and Malawi. He has a strong understanding of what makes people and businesses "tick" in Africa. He also has 15 years Senior Management experience as the Managing Director of Plascon (Zambia's leading paint brand), Commercial Director of Telecel (which became MTN), General Manager of Carpe Diem (a leading MTN sales and distribution channel) and founder (with Brett Magrath) of CAD International. He has set up and chaired the Zambian South African Business Association and also the Zambian Payments Association. He is an active member on the National Financial Sector Development Committee engaging with private sector, banks, and government to establish payment and banking policy. He holds a BComm in Business Finance from the University of Kwazulu Natal, has also held invited Directorships at Plascon, Barloworld CAT, Dulux, and International Community School.  | Hope Okoronkwo, Operations Manager: Among his significant previous positions, Hope enhanced customers' competitiveness by delivering comprehensive multi-level customer service to start ups in New York City. He handled account relationships following initial meetings through the close of sale. Maximized online transactions by overseeing $1 million dollar technology infrastructure projects. He graduated with an M.A. in Sustainable International Development from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, in Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, USA. He has been with the organisation for three months, his role is to manage existing client relationships and bring on new clients for our Bulk Payments System which allows organizations to make salary payments."I want to see Zoona as the preferred payment solutions provider by 80% of large sized enterprises that employ the unbanked, by 2013." |
 | Thulasy Lettner, Customer Experience Manager: Thulasy has worked for Zoona in several different capacities, first as a farmer payment project manager, then as the ordering and supplier payments sales manager, and now as the Customer Experience Manager, in charge of making sure the customer is always front-and-centre of product development and service delivery. Thulasy has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and over four years of experience working in Zambia with Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB), CARE Zambia, and IDE Zambia.  | Binoy George, IT Support & Business Intelligence: Prior to joining Zoona, Binoy held the position of General Manager with CAD Malawi. In 2004, he started up the airtime distribution business which sold in Sep 2008 at a point where monthly airtime sales grossed at $1.2m. He also holds an B.Sc in Computer Science. In his current role, Binoy manages second line IT support and escalated IT problems from customers. He also plays a key role in new product release testing."I would like to see Zoona offer customised value adding IT payment systems to customers, providing superior customer care giving the customer a unique experience of having transacted via our transaction system." |
 | Tasira Nkhata, Customer Care Representative: Holder of a certificate in Social work, Tasira joined the organisation ten months ago and is right at the heart of the business, her role is to sort out Customer problems, and act as a link between Agents and the business.  | Hans Hesse, e-Voucher Manager: Hans has served as e-Vouchers Manager since July 2010 he is Responsible for managing the e-Vouchers unit, helping firms and organizations provide flexible payments, subsidies and services to their clients; and for working with clients to understand and exploit new IT opportunities. Hans has 3 years experience working with market development organizations and investment firms in Africa. He holds a degree in Engineering Science from the University of Tororonto.  | Christopher Mwaba, Jr. Voucher Project Manager: Chris joined the organisation seven months ago with vast experience in Research, he worked in this field for two years, first with SEEDCO, then ZSIC. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Zambia in the school of Agriculture. His role involves setting up Voucher Agents, guiding and inspecting agents, monitoring Vouchers on the system and Supplier payments. "To have as many agents as possible on the supplier payments system and to expand on the number of beneficiaries on the voucher system." |
 | Graham Lettner, Agent Manager: In December 2007, Graham graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. Engineering and immediately began work in Lilongwe, Malawi with Engineers Without Borders (EWB), Canada. After postings with a cassava milling enterprise and with a start-up agro-processing company as assistant manager of their rural supply chain, he transferred to Lusaka to begin work with Zoona in September 2009. Since then he has launched Zoona's first two voucher projects in Zambia, and is now responsible for the growth, profitability and security of the Zoona agent network across Zambia. "I want to see Zoona Agents and their services spread across not just Zambia but all of its neighbouring countries so that I can send money to the people I first worked and lived with in Malawi." |
 | Teddy Sampa, Agent Monitoring and Improvement Manager: Teddy came to Zoona with diverse expertise, having obtained a diploma in Computer Systems Engineering & Hardware Maintenance and with two years experience in Sales and Client Relations with Barclays Bank (Zambia). His role in agent management is integral as he operationalises service to agents, champion agents and money transfer customers. He also contributes to the continuous improvement of agent management systems and process and assists delivers agent training.  | Memory Chirwa, Kiva Account Manager: Previous to this, Memory held various positions in Non Governmental institutions such as The National Youth Anti Corruptions Movement (NYACM) Young women Christian Association (YWCA) and Children's Rights Club (CRC) as Public Relations, Youth Coordinator and Vice President respectively. She joined Zoona in 2009 as Operations Support and soon progressed to the role of Agent Brand Manager. As Kiva Account Manager, she is in charge of profiling the Champion Agents on the Kiva website. Her education is originally in Computer Engineering and she is currently busy with further studies in Marketing. She is an active member of the Zambia Institute of Marketers.  | Misozi Mkandawire, Agent Monitoring and Improvement Assistant: Before Zoona, Misozi worked for Bale Investments, an advertising firm and also CBC television as a sales executive. She is currently pursuing further studies in Public Administration and has been with the organisation for a year, starting off as an Agent sales support. "My Vision for Zoona a couple of years from now is a First class money transfer service in Africa that will send the competitors packing." |
 | Maxwell Zulu, Company Driver: Maxwell Joined Zoona with a lot of experience, having worked for Barclays bank Zambia as a driver for 22 years he held the same position for Finance bank for 3 years and Carpediem for 4 years, his role is to make sure that every one gets to where they need to be and on time.
